Check out my sexy new NFT battle card: CENTAURI MAGE

The magic of the Centauri people of northern Anumün is so secretive that it is a wonder their Mages make any demonstrations of their powers in the Mount Mox Arena at all. The audiences are always thrilled to see their magic attacks, especially at dusk and sunset, when they create a chillingly beautiful (and deadly) green light show. Not only does this magic rain green fire onto the enemy, but with proper concentration from the Mage, it also refortifies the defenses of the friendly team. Among the Centaurs, those who practice these ancient ways of magic are extremely rare. They spend most of their time close to Kron, protecting him from all the wild creatures outside his Citadel.

One of the things I love about these weekly Splinterlands battle challenges is that they bring awareness to both new and old cards that have slipped past my radar. I’m not a strong Earth player so the Centauri Mage was one of those cards. I didn’t even notice she was a centaur until making this post.

My battle.jpg

The Centauri Mage and her ability to return ranged attacks were key to my victory. Both arrows and magic attacks were returned to their source causing them damage like an instant boomerang of karma.

My battle went so well that after the dust settled, not one of my monsters was killed. Flawless victory! Thank you Centauri Mage and thank you for reading about one of my favorite new NFT cards today. May the power of the Splinterlands be with you. Get in the game!

SPLINTERLANDS and my Waver Runner NFT battle challenge win

The Wave Runner sees not one but two sets of prey. The first set of eyes scours the ocean for a tasty morsel. The second set of eyes looks above to the skies for unsuspecting flyers. With a powerful swipe of its tail, the Wave Runner can leap out of the water and bring giant birds and dragons alike into the water where its body provides a natural fighting advantage. It’s best to find land or make peace with your soul if you’re unfortunate enough to face a Wave Runner.

I can’t seem to win a match to save my life these days. Before the game became popular I’d soar through the Bronze and Silver Leagues as if they were a joke, but now it seems as if my enemies can predict my moves even though I carefully look at their past matches before I select my cards. Even though I usually choose older, stronger, and better cards, they still seem to win more often than I do. My neighbors must think I’m crazy hearing me scream obscenities alone in my room. My dog will look at me all scared, but I’ll tell him, “It’s not you baby, it’s these cheating A.I. bots!”

stats.png

I guess you could call me a Splinterlands veteran since I’ve been in the game since 2019 and have once been the top 86th player in the world, but I feel like a total rookie today. All I know is that this is truly a decentralized game and that you should never give up. You won’t get rich quick, but you will see cards go from $1 to over $100 if you are patient.

wave runner battle.png

For this battle, I sacrificed my chicken by putting him out front. My enemy would’ve won if they’d put their Water Elemental in the rear, but thankfully, they did not.

Wave Runner.png

My Wave Runner wasn’t the MVP of this match, but he did help us to win. This is a beautiful card, but it brought back a bit of PTSD for me. I’m a pretty crazy and fearless guy. I will fight guys twice my size and ride my motorcycle as fast as the engine will go, but I remember surfing in Monterey, California back in 1999 seeing a dark shadow swim underneath me. At first, I thought it was lovely that another dolphin had come to say hi and possibly swim in the waves with me as I surf, but then I noticed how big the shadow was. After it swam underneath me three times, I started to feel true fear. As it swam away, I could see its tail wasn’t like a dolphin’s and its black eye of death. Luckily for me, it didn’t find me interesting and a big wave came along. I didn’t dare to stand up, rather riding on the board on my stomach all the way to the beach grinding the board’s fins into the sand. I then screamed for my friends to come in and told them what happened.

When we were putting our boards into the back of my pickup they thought I was lying until a Japanese tourist came up to me shook my hand and told me that he was happy to see I was still alive and that the shark was as big as my truck. Thank you for reading about my Splinterlands battle and my close encounter with a great white shark today. Get in the game!

SPLINTERLANDS: My Dragon NFT Battle Victory

Some time ago, Daria Dragonscale nearly lost her twin brother Delwyn to the Burn that had stricken so many of the scaled. She would have lost him completely, but at his deathbed, she hired the services of a dark sorcerer who transferred his soul into a special Heliosoulstone. While he was suspended inside the stone, Daria traveled to the Earth Splinter, where she visited the Flesh Golems in the root of the Elder Tree. With their help, she created a new Golem from fleshy scraps. Delwyn’s soul was transferred into the new Golem, and Daria had her brother back… forever.

I’m having a lot of fun playing Splinterlands now that there are so many new players. It makes the game harder, but also better in many ways. I was once a Champion player, but got bored and sold everything before the recent popularity. Now I’ll be lucky if I can crawl back up to the Silver League. At least I still get daily SPS airdrops for back in the day when I earned those Champion points.

potion_quest.png

If you’re like me then you’ll regret seeing just one treasure chest reward while struggling in the Bronze League. That’s why I make sure I have a Quest Potion before I complete my Daily Quest. It will add 5 treasure chests to your reward. It’s not expensive if you pay with credits. You can also pay with DEC, but with these strong DEC prices today, you’ll pay way more.

mybattlewin.jpg

My dragons kicked ass! We didn’t lose a single monster in this battle! My Sea Monster was able to take most of the damage while my dragons got to work destroying the enemy.

Delwyn Dragonscale.png

I chose this Dragon summoner, Delwyn Dragonscale, because he increases everyone’s magic attack power.

Serpentine Mystic.png

The Serpentine Mystic can take away an enemy’s special power like self-healing, so I always choose him.

Dragon Whelp (2).png

The Dragon Whelp isn’t usually a strong card, but when his magic attack is increased by the summoner he can do some damage.

Fire Spitter.png

I should’ve chosen more magic attack monsters to do the most damage, but I think this is a beautiful card and my battle would look cooler with the Fire Spitter. Thank you for checking out my battle today. Get in the game!

CAVE SLUGS won another NFT battle in SPLINTERLANDS for me this week.

In southern Khymeria, near the Crystalline Harbor, there is a dank place known as Baluthar’s Deep. There are stories of ancient treasures buried there in the darkness, but the most that treasure hunters typically find is a slew of hideous cave monstrosities. One of the most well-known is the Cave Slug, which hides in plain sight and devours victims quite quickly.

share.png

Welcome to another week of awesome Splinterlands gameplay, everyone! Cards are getting very expensive these days so I was happy to see this week’s battle challenge is the Cave Slugs. I actually do not own this card, but I used to so it’s still available to me. Splinterlands is very fair for making this possible. Imagine if you sold your car to the neighbor down the street, but they still let you use it sometimes because you were the original owner. That’s kinda how NFTs work. I know that in the art NFT space, the original creator or the artist will always earn a percentage no matter how many times it changes hands.

I’ve been playing this wonderful decentralized NFT game since it was new. If I had HODLed all of my cards I’ve ever been awarded, I could’ve bought a house in Southern California, but I was dumb and broke and sold all of my maxed ALPHA and BETA cards to survive. No one knows the future so I don’t feel bad. Plus this game is just getting started. There is still a lot of opportunity for new players and dumbasses like me who’ve sold everything to make a comeback!

mybattle.png

My battle went well even though I was up against an undead zombie T-rex and a powerful sandworm. I lost my first monster in the fight, but my Cave Slugs with their opportunity ability, which means they will attack the enemy monster with the least health, helped win another victory. I think that as long as every card has a different job to do that your chances of winning will go up. Don’t just rely on one strong card in the front. Predict what your enemy will do based on their past choices and then maximize your attack potential by choosing the appropriate cards for the battle rules.

Thank you for checking out my battle this week. Splinterlands will go down in gaming history as the original OG play to earn game. I’ve been waiting years for a better game to come along, but none have captured my attention so far. What do you think is the best play-to-earn game today?
